Angela Swanson Memorial Grant

Honoring a Passionate Artist and Connector

Awarded by the Columbia River Artisans Guild

Angela Swanson co-founded the Artisans’ Guild of Camas, now known as the Columbia Artisans Guild.. She tragically and unexpectedly passed away in 2023 at the age of 54. Angela discovered her passion for art later in life and embraced it wholeheartedly. She once remarked, “I don’t create art, but art creates me.” Angela was not only a gifted artist but also a connector of people. She contributed her talents to many arts organizations in Clark County, offering website assistance and devoting countless hours to helping others.

In honor of Angela Swanson, the Angela Swanson Memorial Grant will be awarded to an emerging woman artist who, like Angela, discovered her artistic voice after the age of 40.
